Prayer Ministry

Tuesday Zoom Prayers at 9.00am

We are now doing our Tuesday Prayer Breakfast by Zoom, email the office on office@parishofhernebay.org.uk and we will send you a link.

Thursdays at 4.30pm

On Thursday afternoon at 4.30pm join us for thirty minutes in the North Room for a weekly prayer gathering.  A great opportunity to reflect and pray. People are welcome to pray out loud or to stay silent as we often focus on one aspect of our church family life. Do join us if you are able.

Prayer Ministry

Our church family is active and supportive and we are delighted to be able to offer Prayer Ministry.
If you need somebody to pray with you, to pray for you or someone you know, then -

Please make your prayer requests known by filling in our website contact form, found on the Contact Us page.  If you know someone who is unable to access the website please encourage them to phone Anthony on 07599 608041 with their request.

Please tell us if you want a member of the Prayer Ministry team to phone you to pray with you (we will need the best number to call).

Anthony will, as soon as is possible, pass your request to the Prayer Ministry team leader and a trained Prayer Ministry team member will be asked to call you.

In making the request you are giving us permission to action this.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2

Prayers you can pray

Thanks be to Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ,
For all the benefits which you have won for us,
For all the pains and insults you have borne for us,
O most merciful Redeemer, Friend and Brother,
May we know you more clearly, love you more dearly, and follow you more nearly, day by day. Amen

Confession

We have not always worshipped God, our creator.
Lord, have mercy.
We have not always followed Christ, our Saviour.
Christ, have mercy.
We have not always trusted in the Spirit, our guide.
Lord, have mercy.
Christ came in humility to share our lives:
forgive our pride.
Christ came with good news for all people:
forgive our silence.
Christ came in love to a world of suffering:
forgive our self-centredness.

May the Father of all mercies cleanse us from our sins and restore us in His image, to the praise and glory of His name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the love of the Lord Jesus draw us to himself, the power of the Lord Jesus strengthen us in his service, and the joy of the Lord Jesus fill our hearts. Amen.

To him who is able to keep us from falling and to present us without blemish before his glory with rejoicing, to the only God, our Saviour through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and for ever. Amen.

May God shield us,
May God fill us,
May God keep us,
May God watch us
May God bring us
To the land of peace,
To the country of the King
Where Jesus reigns in glory.
Amen.

Aaronic Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face
shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn His face toward you
and give you peace.  Amen.

Prayer Triplets

We also support small groups of three or four members who meet together on a regular basis to pray together.  This provides an opportunity to enjoy friendship, members will often talk about the week and then pray about issues discussed.
