• the people who have volunteered to help with our August holiday club.
• the St Peter’s care home service and a good start to a new opportunity.
• the way God has given us so many opportunities to share Jesus through schools work, Prayer walking, Remembrance celebrations etc.

 
Please pray for

• following the meeting tonight at Kings Hall looking at the antisocial behaviour that is around in Herne Bay at present. Please pray that
  • the church would be seen as a force for good and that if there are ways we should engage with the youngsters we will.
  • that there would be more light than heat following the meeting.
  • that the young people who seem to be the cause of the trouble would experience God’s touch and the restraining of what they seek to do.
  • that those who are scared would be delivered from fear and be safe.
  • that people will not think these actions represent the whole generation.

• the holiday club that –
  • the enrolment process as we advertise with the families we already have contact with and then further afield including the primary schools.
  • the right number of children to sign up so that we have who God wants and don’t have to turn any away or have gaps.
  • the delegation of tasks in preparation for the holiday club especially that the right tasks will be allocated to the right people.
  • Simon and Denise as they lead the team and as they do the detailed planning work for each session.
  • the right activities to be chosen for each day.
  • the young leaders (aged 12-17) to find serving develops and grows their faith.
  • the practical arrangement including craft, set design, refreshments etc.
  • the whole week to be covered in prayer.
• the leavers services for Hampton School with years 5 and 6 present and for Herne Bay Juniors with Year 6 present.
• the Year 6 parents who will attend the services as well.
• the new service at St Peter’s Care Home to continue to be well received.
• that any guests at the restaurant night are drawn closer to God.

 
Please pray for anything else that the Lord lays on your heart.
 
 
Growing Christians who glorify Jesus
 
Please give thanks for

• the number of people who are in homegroups and their leaders.
• the recent Christianity Explained group that has seen people’s lives transformed by the Holy Spirit bringing new life in Jesus shown by their desire to continue to meet to study God’s Word.
• the youth group and the way they are engaging with God’s Word.

 
Please pray for

• the new Growing in Faith grow as they meet this week, that they would continue to grow in their faith and be rooted in Christ.
• those who came to faith recently that they would settle well into their new homegroup and Sunday worship and that nothing would get in the way of their faith growing.
• those who have joined us recently because the Lord has drawn them back to Himself, that they would know that He will hold them fast.
• the increasing number of adults who want to be baptised to be well prepared and able to declare their faith clearly.
• our homegroups including the youth group –
• that they would be places for all find their faith strengthened.
• for the leaders as they prepare the studies to be led by God including those who are leading studies linking the Old and New Testaments.
• for the new plans for the restart of the Bay Ignite homegroup and for Simon, Paula and Paul as they think about what to do and how to grow the group.
• for new people to join the groups and to be placed in the right group.
• for the raising up of new leaders for when we need them.
• the men’s Bible Study as they tackle the Book of Ezekiel and seek to encourage each other to be men of faith.
• the Ladies breakfast this week to be a place where everyone is drawn closer to the Lord Jesus.
• those in prayer triplets to find them to be places where they can share deeply, pray wisely and see God at work.
• each of our church family to engage pray and God’s Word.
• all our services, Sunday and midweek to draw people closer to Jesus.
