Church Life
 
Please give thanks for

• the ministry that God has given us as a church family.
• the opportunities that God has given us as individuals and the church family to see people come to faith in Him.
• the number of people who are now connected with our Bay Ignite and Sunday congregations.

 
Please pray for

• the restart of the schools’ ministry with assemblies and services over the next few months especially praying that the relationships between the schools and the church deepen even further.
• the Food Larder to reach the people who have the greatest need and to share the love of Jesus.
• the South Room Hub to be a place of help to those who come and a place where people experience and recognise the love of Jesus.
• the homegroups to be places where people grow in their faith and praying especially for a number of groups with new members and some groups with new meeting arrangements.
• those who are not in homegroups, that they would be properly cared for and if it is right to join a homegroup in due time.
• the new Bay Ignite teaching rota to enable all who attend, whatever their age, to come to faith or grow in faith.
• the new preaching programme for Sunday mornings to be helpful and to allow people to both find faith and grow in faith over the coming months.
• the care home and supported living ministry this autumn to be a place where those who are contacted where they live engage with Jesus.
• the home communion ministry that people are encouraged as they break bread and are visited in their homes.
• the youth group as it restarts in early September especially praying the young people return after the summer break.
• the baby and toddler group as it reopens in early September and especially for the new and returning leaders.
• the baby and toddler group that new families will join and that others will return after the summer break.
• The Ladies’ and Men’s Ministries to be places of blessing & encouragement.

New Initiatives and New Faith
 
Please give thanks for

• the way the holiday club impacted lives and the many answered prayers we saw during the three days.
• the team that served during the holiday club in so many ways.
• the prayer that surrounds all the ministries that we are involved in and will be involved in.

 
Please pray for

• us to be open to anything that the Lord would have us start or adapt.
• the planned autumn Christianity Explained Group in Whitstable that it would attract the people who God is calling to attend it.
• the planned autumn Christianity Explained Group in Herne Bay that it would attract the people who God is calling to attend it.
• the Tuesday Bay Ignite congregation as we have new people and will look at the best way to meet the needs of all ages.
• the new Christians who have completed Christianity Explained and Growing in Faith to settle into their new homegroup.
• the setting up of a new congregation on a Sunday afternoon at St Andrews praying especially that –
  • the planning needed to be done is in line with God’s will
  • new people who do not yet attend church to be contacted and attracted to coming.
  • a good team will be built to lead this congregation under the leadership of Denise, our curate.
  • the structure of each service be clear and appropriate for those who attend.
• the Sunday at Seven services with a new mix of different types of services and the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of ministry and leadership.
• the Sunday at Seven services to be attended by those who will most benefit from engaging with what is taught and experienced.
• the midweek and Sunday services to be attended by those who are yet to put their trust in Jesus and that in attending they might come to trust in and follow the Lord Jesus
