He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
 
Holiday Club and other events
 
Please give thanks for

• the leavers services we prayed for last month.
• the successful Songs of Praise at Richmond Court last Sunday.
• the number of people who want to be baptised thanking God for the way He is calling people to himself or back to himself.

• the holiday club that –
  • the children to come to or grow in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
  • the right number of children to sign up in the weeks running up to August 11th.
  • Simon and Denise as they lead the team and as they will be the face of the holiday club.
  • that everyone will be kept safe.
  • the team in their various roles including talks, drama, group leadership, craft, refreshments, care of children and team, reception and much more!
  • the young leaders (aged 12-17) to find serving grows their faith.
  • the building of the set and that the building is ready for the start.
  • the whole week to be covered in prayer.
• the Ladies BBQ on Saturday 9th to be a place of deepening and helpful friendships.
• the Baptism service in church on August 10th that those who want to be baptised are ready for that date and are clear in pointing people to Jesus.
• the lunch on August 17th to have just the right people attend so that those who want to serve can see where they could serve the Lord at CCSA.
• the baptisms in the sea on August 24th to be a time of great celebrations where those who are baptised share and rejoice in all God has done for them.
• the sea baptisms to be observed by people who do not yet follow Jesus and that they would be drawn to find out more about Him.
• the practical arrangements for the sea baptisms to go smoothly.
• The many camps that are being run for children and young people over the summer where the gospel of Jesus will be shared in an age-appropriate way. Pray that many come to and grow in their faith in the UK and beyond.

• the way our church family lives differently and point people to Jesus.
• the South room and Food Larder ministries particularly thanking God for all those who serve in this ministry.
• the prayer walking group led by Denise who are faithfully praying around the parish particularly for those who are not yet Christians.

• the people who come to the South Room and Food Larder that they would get the help that they need.
• the people who come to the South Room and Food Larder that they would engage with other church activities and come to know the Lord Jesus.
• the team in the South room to be wise in all they say and do and be able to point people to Jesus.
• the larder team that the people who desperately need the food we have will come to the door on a Tuesday and not be embarrassed to do so.
• the people who come to the larder to know that God is a generous God as they receive generously from His people.
• the planned autumn Christianity explained Group that it would attract the people who God is calling to attend it.
• the people who are still joining us on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to be welcomed well and begin to engage with God as He encourages them to meet with God’s people.
• the growing ministry to care homes and flats with warden support. Please pray that God would help us know which opportunities to develop.
• the next year’s schools’ ministry with assemblies and services already booked into the diary, that many children and young people will have open eyes and respond to the good news of the gospel.
• the midweek and Sunday services to be attended by those who yet to put their trust in Jesus and that in attending they might come to trust in and follow the Lord Jesus.
• the friends and family we know who don’t yet know Jesus, that we would be a positive influence in drawing them closer to Jesus
